Sue was the winner of October’s Photoclub competition, where the theme was Reflection.
Sue wins a signed limited edition print by award-winning landscape photographer Ruth Grindrod.
The judge loved that there were several layers of reflection, the text within the window, the word light, which reflected upon the pelican crossing.
Word home in the text and opposite there were flats. In addition to that, you had the physical reflection of the photographer, a self-portrait.
Second place went to Bobbie. The judge loved the reflection of light which could be seen as eyes. There was constructive dialogue in positioning those lights however the judge felt overall this was a well-composed and warm emotional narrative that reminded him of the pop group The Beatles back in the 60s.
Third place was James’s image of these ice cubes, which was coloured by LED lighting and placed on a clear plastic surface under which was a black cloth. The judge applauded his approach and thoughtfulness to the image taking.
November’s Photoclub competition theme is Happy.
